The size of the feed hopper for a large crusher should be determined based on factors such as the unloading method, the amount of material unloaded per load, and the time between unloading. The effective storage capacity of the feed hopper is generally 100-200 tons. A heavy-duty plate feeder is typically used at the bottom of the feed hopper to feed the large crusher. Small and medium-sized primary crushers can also be fed with medium-sized plate feeders or large electromagnetic vibrating feeders. The feeder width should be at least twice the maximum feed size of the crusher.
Large crushers typically use a relatively large feed size. To prevent large pieces of material from damaging the feed hopper during unloading, steel rails or thick steel plates are installed on the rear wall and sides of the feed hopper, as well as at the discharge port. The feed hopper should be of appropriate shape and size to prevent blockage or jamming of the material within the hopper.
Taking the coarse crushing cone crusher as an example, in order to ensure the normal operation of the equipment and improve the equipment life, the coarse crushing cone crusher should pay attention to the following matters when working:
(1) Before starting, check the lubrication system, the crushing area of the cone, adjust the belt tension, and tighten all screws.
(2) After starting the oil pump motor for 5-10 minutes, check the working condition of the lubrication system. Only when it works normally can the main motor be started.
(3) The crusher can only start feeding ore after running at no load for 1-2 minutes. Since the gyratory crusher is filled with ore, it is necessary to pay attention to whether the ore feeding is normal, especially for ore with high mud content and high moisture content, to prevent the ore from blocking the feed port. During operation, it is also necessary to pay attention to the discharge of ore. Ore is not allowed to accumulate in the space under the sealing device.
(4) When s*ping normally, the ore feeding should be s*ped *. After all the ore in the crusher is discharged, the main motor can be s*ped.
S* the oil pump motor. After s*ping the crusher, thoroughly inspect all parts and address any problems promptly. The primary crusher should be fed with a variable-frequency plate feeder, allowing for the ability to adjust the feed rate as needed. When using an apron feeder, ensure that there is always some material in the feed bin to prevent large pieces of material from hitting the chain plates and causing damage.
